South of Raton, NM there are always antelope. This year was no exception. The picture was taken from the moving car (80 mph or so and no, I wasn't driving) so it's a little fuzzy.

I had planned on taking another picture while "Standing on a Corner in Winslow Arizona", but there was a fire last October and now the statue and mural are behind a 6 ft chain link fence.

This picture was taken as we approached Hoover Dam, just outside of Las Vegas. I have never seen the desert look this green.

Another roadside picture approaching Hoover Dam. These bushes were in bloom throughout the Las Vegas area and all the way down to Phoenix along Highway 93. Some of the hillsides looked solid yellow. Based on the results of a Yahoo search, I think they are Brittlebush.
